FORTITUDE™ · A PRESSURE TESTED GLOBAL™ CEO PEER ADVISORY BOARD

The decision is yours.
The room helps you examine it.

Bring the issue before it becomes the consequence.

An invitation-only, confidential monthly board for Atlanta-area founders and CEOs of established $25M–$100M+ companies. Ten non-competing leaders at most. Real issues, candid perspective, and decisions you remain responsible for.

The issue may be yours to decide. It should not have to stay yours alone to examine.

People.Capital.Growth.Leadership.Reputation.Direction.The future of the business.

Your team is inside the situation. The board is outside it.

Bring the decision that is sitting too long, the issue that keeps returning, or the responsibility you cannot discuss freely inside your company. Other experienced leaders help you question assumptions and consider consequences. You decide what happens next.

WHAT MEMBERSHIP IS FOR

A room where the real issue can be examined before you act.

Membership gives you a recurring place to bring consequential decisions, hear candid perspective from experienced non-competing leaders, make your own next move, and return to review what happened. It is not a promise of a financial or business result.

See what may be missing

Question assumptions, blind spots, and second-order consequences before acting.

Work the decision

Bring an unresolved issue into a room where options, trade-offs, and what matters can be examined.

Keep ownership

Other members challenge your thinking; nobody takes over your decision or your company.

Return with what happened

Commitments are remembered and reviewed as new information changes the situation.

THE REALITY OF LEADERSHIP

You already have people around you.

That does not mean you always have a place to think.

Your leadership team works for the organization. Your employees need direction. Your family may understand you, but not always the business. Your advisors may see only part of the picture.

And some decisions simply cannot be discussed openly with everyone around you. So they stay with you.

A leadership decisionA difficult executiveA partnership issueA major hireAn acquisitionA restructuringA capital decisionAn opportunity that could materially change the businessAn issue costing more time, money, attention, or organizational capacity than it should

The issue may not be lack of intelligence. It may be lack of distance. When you are close to a situation long enough, it becomes harder to see clearly.

Fortitude gives you the room to see it differently before you act.

WHAT FORTITUDE IS

A private room built for consequential work.

Fortitude™ is an invitation-only CEO peer advisory board created by Pressure Tested Global™.

The founding board is being assembled. It is designed for a maximum of 10 non-competing leaders from established companies who meet privately each month to examine consequential decisions, unresolved organizational issues, and opportunities. No member outcomes or established board history are claimed here.

Not a networking group or leads group. No pitching or vendors seeking customers. No guests or observers. No obligation to agree. The room challenges thinking; members own their decisions.

The point is a room where leaders can be candid, challenge one another respectfully, and take responsibility for what happens next.

WHO BELONGS IN THE ROOM

Fit is about contribution, not simply qualification.

FoundersCEOsPresidentsManaging PartnersPrincipal OwnersControlling Owners
MEMBERS GENERALLY LEAD ESTABLISHED COMPANIES PRODUCING APPROXIMATELY$25 million to $100 million+ in annual revenue.

Revenue establishes the level of complexity the room is designed for. It does not determine fit by itself.

Authority

Meaningful decision-making authority and an established leadership team.

Complexity

Real financial, operational, people, or strategic complexity.

Experience

Enough operating experience to contribute meaningfully to the decisions of other members.

Character

A willingness to be challenged, challenge respectfully, protect confidentiality, and never sell to the room.

The question is not simply whether you qualify.
The question is whether your presence makes the room stronger.

WHY THE ROOM MATTERS

The higher the responsibility, the fewer places there are for unfiltered perspective.

Senior leadership can become increasingly isolated as responsibility grows. The more consequential the decision, the fewer people may be able to challenge it honestly.

Fortitude is built to reduce that isolation. The value comes from different experience applied to the same question:

What are you missing?

Assumptions you have stopped questioningRisks hidden by familiarityOrganizational patterns you are too close to seeDecisions being delayed unnecessarilyLeadership issues being treated as operational problemsOperational problems being treated as people problemsOpportunities being underestimatedCosts compounding while nothing changes

The objective is not consensus.
The objective is better judgment.

THE FORTITUDE PRESSURE TEST

Every consequential issue is examined through the Pressure Code™.

Observe → Decide → Act → Review
01

OBSERVE

What is actually happening?

Separate what is known from the story, assumption, and first explanation.

02

DECIDE

What decision actually needs to be made?

What has been delayed, avoided, or obscured?

03

ACT

What happens next?

Who owns it? What is the standard? What commitment is being made?

04

REVIEW

What happened?

What changed? What did the decision reveal? What needs to be adjusted?

This is not conversation for conversation’s sake.
The work should lead somewhere.

MONTHLY FORTITUDE RHYTHM

Second Tuesday.
Every month.

8:30 AM–12:00 PMTHE COMMERCE CLUB ATL191 Peachtree Street NE · 49th FloorAtlanta, Georgia

Executive Signal Check

Every member enters prepared to answer: What moved? What did not? What decision deserves attention now? What changed because of the commitment made last month?

Deep Pressure Tests

Selected members bring consequential decisions, unresolved organizational issues, strategic opportunities, or leadership challenges before the board. The room challenges assumptions, exposes blind spots, separates symptoms from causes, and pressure-tests the decision before the business has to live with the consequence.

Rapid Decision Rounds

Shorter issues receive focused perspective, experience, introductions, or a fast strategic gut-check.

Chair’s Perspective + Executive Framework

Decision Integrity · Standards Clarity · Leadership Capacity · Executive Judgment · Organizational Friction · Accountability · Delegation · Escalation · Strategic Alignment · Crisis Response · Culture · Decision Velocity · Leadership Under Pressure

Commitments + Private Lunch

Members establish commitments that will be reviewed at the next session. Then the working session transitions into private conversation over lunch. No networking exercise. Just the room.

BETWEEN MEETINGS

Fortitude does not disappear for thirty days.

Members receive access to a private member communication channel for executive gut-checks, trusted introductions, vendor recommendations, emerging decisions, experience-sharing, relevant opportunities, and appropriate member-to-member support.

The purpose is not constant communication.
It is access to trusted perspective when it matters.

HOW THE ROOM IS BUILT AND PROTECTED

Trust starts before the first meeting.

01 · COMPOSITION

Cornelius reviews each applicant’s company, authority, experience, character, and ability to contribute. Industry overlap and the existing composition are considered before a seat is offered.

02 · ACCESS

No guests or observers. No pitching or solicitation. A private conversation and fit review come before invitation; confidentiality and membership agreements are required before joining.

03 · RESPONSIBILITY

Members can discuss their own experience, but do not publicly attribute another member’s discussion. They challenge one another respectfully and remain responsible for their own decisions and commitments.

These are the standards the board is being assembled around. Confidentiality requires each member to honor the agreement; no room can honestly promise that another person will never breach it.

WHAT THE WORK IS DESIGNED FOR

Better questions, sound decisions, and action you can review.

These are the practices Fortitude is designed to support. The founding board has not yet established a record of member outcomes, and no specific result is guaranteed.

01

Better questions

Questions that expose assumptions, risks, and overlooked possibilities.

02

Greater clarity

A clearer understanding of what is actually happening and what matters most.

03

Stronger decisions

Decisions examined before people, money, time, reputation, or opportunity are placed at risk.

04

Accountability without performance theater

Commitments are remembered. Progress is reviewed. What happened matters.

05

Perspective outside the company

Experienced leaders who do not report to you, sell to you, or depend on your approval.

06

A room that gets stronger over time

Context compounds. Trust compounds. The quality of the room compounds with it.

PRIVATE ADVISORY IS SEPARATE

Peer advisory and private advisory serve different purposes.

Members who require individual work with Cornelius outside the board may explore a separate Pressure Tested Global™ private advisory relationship.

Private advisory is limited and is not included with Fortitude membership.

Request Consideration

Submit a brief private request describing you, the company you lead, and why Fortitude may be relevant.

02

Private Conversation

Selected applicants are invited to a short conversation with Cornelius. The purpose is to determine whether there is enough alignment to continue.

NOT EVERY CEO NEEDS FORTITUDE

Fortitude may not be right for you if:

  • You primarily want networking or customers.
  • You want someone else to make your decisions.
  • You are unwilling to discuss what is really happening.
  • You are uncomfortable having your assumptions challenged.
  • You want motivation more than examination.
  • You consistently make commitments but do not follow through.
  • You are unwilling to contribute to other members.
  • You cannot protect the confidentiality of the room.

Fortitude is intentionally not built for everyone.

FORTITUDE MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF

You want a room strong enough to challenge your thinking.

  • You lead an established company.
  • Important decisions still reach your desk.
  • You carry responsibilities you cannot discuss everywhere.
  • You value experienced perspective.
  • You are willing to hear what you may not want to hear.
  • You understand that one poorly examined decision can far exceed the cost of having the right room around you before you make it.

FORTITUDE™

Before the decision becomes the consequence.

Bring it to the room.
